How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client is currently looking to recruit a Senior Full Stack Developer on a permanent basis.
      
    Senior Full Stack Developer (.NET & React)
    Northamptonshire - Hybrid / Remote
    £60,000 - £70,000
      
    We're looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join a talented software engineering team developing modern applications that power large-scale, mission-critical operations.
      
    This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development of a next-generation software platform, working with modern technologies including .NET, React, TypeScript and PostgreSQL. You'll help shape technical direction, contribute to architectural decisions, and deliver high-quality software that solves complex real-world challenges.
    Working alongside experienced Software Engineers, Architects, Project Managers and Subject Matter Experts, you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact while continuing to develop your own technical expertise.
      
    What You'll Be Doing

    Design and develop modern web applications using C#, .NET, React and TypeScript.
    Build scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using PostgreSQL.
    Contribute to software architecture, technical design and engineering best practices.
    Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
    Participate in code reviews and mentor other developers where appropriate.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality customer-focused solutions.
    Drive continuous improvement across development processes, tooling and platforms.
    Work within Agile development practices using tools such as Jira and Confluence.   
    You'll be a passionate software engineer with strong commercial experience and a desire to build high-quality solutions using modern technologies.
      
    You'll ideally have:

    Strong commercial experience developing with C# and .NET.
    Experience building modern web applications with React and TypeScript.
    Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
    Good knowledge of relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
    A solid understanding of software engineering principles, testing and maintainable code design.
    Experience working within Agile development environments.
    A degree in Computer Science (or a related discipline), or equivalent commercial experience.
