How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    As a Site Agent, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of water treatment and associated civil engineering works, overseeing day-to-day site operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with the Project Manager, you'll lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors, and drive performance to achieve key project milestones while maintaining full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

    Site Agent Responsibilities

    * Leading site teams, including Site Engineers, General Foremen, and subcontractors.

    * Planning and coordinating works to ensure programme milestones are achieved.

    * Ensuring all works are delivered safely and in accordance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

    * Managing temporary works, permits, inspections, and site documentation.

    * Reviewing drawings and specifications and resolving technical queries with the design team.

    * Monitoring progress, productivity, and costs, reporting regularly to the Project Manager.

    * Managing subcontractor performance and ensuring works are completed to specification.

    * Producing and reviewing RAMS, QA documentation, and site records.

    * Building and maintaining strong working relationships with the client and key project stakeholders.

    Site Agent Requirements

    * Proven experience as a Site Agent on water, utilities, or heavy civil engineering projects.

    * Strong background delivering reinforced concrete structures, pipelines, and water treatment infrastructure.

    * Excellent knowledge of NEC contracts and construction delivery processes.

    * Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.

    * Experience managing site teams and subcontractors on live infrastructure projects.

    * Good understanding of QA procedures, programme management, and commercial awareness.

    * SMSTS certification (essential).

    * CSCS Card (essential).

    * Temporary Works Coordinator and First Aid qualifications are desirable.

    * Full UK driving licence.

    What's on Offer

    * Immediate start from 10th August.

    * Competitive day rates of £400–£500 per shift, depending on experience.

    * Long-term contract with the potential for extension.

    * Opportunity to work on a flagship water infrastructure project with a respected civil engineering contractor.

    * The chance to play a leading role in the successful delivery of a major utilities scheme.

    If you're an experienced Site Agent with a background in water treatment, utilities, or heavy civil engineering and are available to start on 10th August, we'd like to hear from you.
