How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Shift Engineer

    Liverpool street 56k

    We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join the engineering team at a prestigious commercial skyscraper in the heart of Liverpool street, London.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a landmark building, delivering first-class maintenance across a high-profile commercial property.

    The Role

    As an Engineering Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of the building's landlord services, ensuring all plant and equipment is maintained to the highest standard. Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you will carry out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance while ensuring maximum uptime and reliability.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.

    * Maintain and operate landlord building services and associated plant.

    * Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.

    * Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns.

    * Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety and statutory compliance requirements.

    * Complete maintenance records and update the CAFM system accurately.

    * Liaise with contractors and the site management team where required.

    * Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

    Candidate Requirements

    * Recognised electrical engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).

    * Experience working within commercial building services.

    * Electrical or mechanical bias with strong fault-finding ability.

    * Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.

    * Ability to work effectively within a shift team.
