How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Anderson Knight Recruitment is partnering with a respected organisation to appoint an experienced People Partner. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded HR professional to join a progressive business where people are at the heart of its success.

This position is based in South Lanarkshire, with travel to different sites within Scotland, as required. A driving licence and access to a vehicle will be essential for this role. The business operates a hybrid working model with typically 3-4 days per week in the office and 1-2 days working from home per week.

This role offers the chance to act as a trusted advisor to operational leaders, influencing people strategy while delivering practical people solutions that support business growth, engagement, and performance. You'll work across a varied remit, balancing strategic projects with hands-on operational support, making a tangible impact on both colleagues and the wider business.

    The Opportunity

As a People Partner, you will build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and management teams, helping to shape a positive and high-performing culture. You'll play a key role in guiding leaders through complex people matters, implementing strategic initiatives, and ensuring best practice is embedded throughout the employee journey.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

    * Partnering with operational and senior leaders to align people priorities with broader business objectives.

    * Providing expert advice and guidance on employee relations matters, helping managers effectively navigate complex situations.

    * Supporting workforce planning, talent attraction and retention strategies to ensure the business continues to secure and develop top talent.

    * Driving engagement, wellbeing and development initiatives that enhance the overall colleague experience.

    * Leading and contributing to people-focused projects, continuous improvement initiatives and policy development activities.

    * Using people analytics and workforce insights to identify trends, inform decision-making and support business performance.

    * Supporting organisational change and transformation activity while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.

    * Developing management capability through coaching, mentoring and practical guidance.

    * Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to deliver effective and commercially focused people solutions.

    * Supporting specialist employment-related matters including TUPE transfers and IR35 assessments where required.

    About You

We are keen to speak with experienced people professionals who can combine strong technical expertise with exceptional stakeholder management skills.

    You will ideally have:

    * Previous experience working in a People Partner, HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisory role.

    * Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and contemporary people practices.

    * Demonstrable experience managing a wide range of employee relations issues.

    * The confidence and credibility to influence, support and challenge stakeholders at all levels.

    * Excellent communication, relationship-building and coaching skills.

    * Strong analytical capability with experience using people data to inform decision-making.

    * Experience supporting change programmes within a fast-paced business environment.

    * CIPD qualification or equivalent professional experience.

    Desirable Experience

    * Knowledge and practical experience of TUPE regulations.

    * Familiarity with IR35 legislation and associated assessments.

    * Experience working within a unionised environment.

    What's on Offer?

    * An opportunity to join a successful and forward-thinking organisation.

    * A highly visible role with the ability to influence business and people outcomes.

    * Exposure to both strategic and operational people activities.

    * A collaborative and supportive working environment.

    * Competitive salary and benefits package
