How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

CPS Group are looking for a motivated and ambitious Junior Business Development Executive to join a collaborative and high-performing commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a globally recognised organisation, working alongside experienced Business Development Managers while gaining exposure to international clients.

Whether you're taking your first step into business development or already have some commercial experience, we'd love to hear from you.

    The Role

As a Junior Business Development Executive, you'll play a key role in supporting business development activity by identifying new opportunities, engaging prospective clients and helping to strengthen relationships with existing customers.

Working closely with the wider commercial team, you'll be responsible for generating qualified opportunities, supporting events and campaigns, maintaining CRM data and helping deliver against team targets.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same and offers fantastic progression into a fully-fledged Business Development Executive position.

    Key Responsibilities

Qualify inbound leads and identify new business opportunities.
Arrange meetings for Business Development Managers and Executives.
Follow up with prospective and existing customers after events and campaigns.
Build and maintain target account lists using CRM and market research tools.
Promote company events and webinars through LinkedIn and other social platforms.
Engage VIP prospects and key decision makers to maximise event attendance.
Maintain accurate customer and prospect data within Salesforce.
    Produce activity and performance reports.
Support tender and procurement opportunities where required.
Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales journey.
Work collaboratively with internal teams to achieve business objectives and KPIs.

    About You

We're interested in people who are naturally curious, confident communicators and enjoy speaking with customers.

    You'll likely have:

A degree (preferred but not essential) or experience in sales, business development, customer service, marketing or another commercial environment.
    Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Confidence speaking with customers over the phone and via email.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
A proactive attitude with the confidence to use your own initiative.
    Good Microsoft Office skills.
    Experience using LinkedIn professionally.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Fluency in English, with an additional European language being highly desirable.
A willingness to travel occasionally to events across Europe.

    Desirable

Previous business development or lead generation experience.
Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
An interest or background in Cyber Security or technology.
Experience converting qualified leads into sales opportunities.
