How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Domiciliary Care Worker

    Locations: Loughton, Buckhurst Hill, Woodford Green and Wanstead
    Pay: £15.00 per hour
    Hours: Flexible shifts, including weekdays, evenings and weekends

    We are recruiting experienced, compassionate and dependable Domiciliary Care Workers to support older people in their own homes across Loughton, Buckhurst Hill, Woodford Green and Wanstead.

    You will provide person-centred care that helps individuals remain safe, comfortable and independent while being treated with dignity and respect.

    Key responsibilities

    * Providing personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and continence support

    * Supporting clients with mobility and safe transfers

    * Preparing meals and assisting with eating and drinking

    * Providing medication support in accordance with care plans

    * Offering companionship and emotional reassurance

    * Supporting clients with daily routines and household tasks

    * Accurately recording visits and care notes using our electronic care app

    * Reporting concerns or changes in a client’s health and wellbeing

    * Following safeguarding, infection-control and confidentiality procedures

    Essential requirements

    Applicants must:

    * Have at least three years’ previous care experience

    * Have experience supporting older people in their own homes or a similar care setting

    * Be confident providing personal care

    * Hold a Care Certificate

    * Hold an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health and Social Care

    * Be comfortable using a smartphone and electronic care app

    * Be friendly, patient, respectful and reliable

    * Communicate clearly and professionally

    * Have the right to work in the UK

    * Be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check and provide satisfactory references

    * Be able to travel reliably between clients in the local area
