Basic Salary: £35,400 - £42,664
OTE: £39,680 - £46,944 (including good attendance and up to 3 sleep-ins per month)
Are you an experienced Residential Support Worker or Senior Residential Support Worker ready to take the next step into leadership?
We're recruiting for a Team Leader to join a specialist Children's Residential Home supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
As a Team Leader, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the home, supporting the Registered and Deputy Managers to deliver high-quality care and outstanding outcomes for young people. You'll lead shifts, mentor colleagues and help create a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment where children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support Residential Support Workers on shift
Build positive relationships with children and young people
Promote safeguarding and child-centred practice
Support care planning, risk assessments and daily records
Encourage education, independence and positive outcomes
Deputise for management when required
Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
Work closely with families, social workers and external professionals
Requirements
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
Experience working within a Children's Residential Care setting
Strong leadership and communication skills
Safeguarding and child protection knowledge
Experience supporting young people with SEMH or complex needs
Full UK Driving Licence (minimum 12 months)
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and sleep-ins
