The role of Maintenance Supervisor will function in two parts as both a hands on electrically biased Maintenance Engineer and as a support system for the Head of Engineering therefore experience leading Maintenance Engineers is important.
What you'll be doing
As Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll be working across 2 manufacturing sites (within 5 miles of each other) you’ll be responsible for supporting the Head of Engineer with leadership, direction and technical oversight for engineering teams across manufacturing sites.
As this is both a hands-on and supervisory role, strong electrical maintenance skills are a prerequisite.
Responsibilities will include;
Support, mentor, and develop site engineering and apprentices. (currently 2 Engineers + 1 Apprentice)
Establish and maintain engineering standards, procedures, and best practices across both sites.
Drive a proactive engineering culture focused on safety, reliability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Help to develop competency frameworks for engineering personnel.
Support site leadership teams in delivering business objectives, and engineering KPIs.
Provide engineering support and strategic guidance to site management teams.
Ensure engineering resources are effectively deployed across sites to support operational requirements.
Technical skills required PLC fault finding experience with solid electrical fault finding and LOTO experience
What we're looking for
The successful Maintenance Supervisor will need to have;
Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent
Be a strong communicator and work well under time constraints/pressure
Previous experience of managing and leading a team of Engineers within a maintenance function
Strong fault-finding skills on automated machinery
Ideally food background
Desire to move into more Senior Management role would be beneficial
