How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive organisation where people are at the heart of everything we do. You will lead a committed team, create a positive culture within the home, and make a genuine difference to the lives of our residents and their families.

    The Role

As Home Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the management and performance of the home. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality care that meets all regulatory requirements, whilst maintaining full occupancy and achieving financial objectives.

You will be supported by dedicated Operations and Central Support teams, alongside an experienced Deputy Manager, Administrator, Hospitality Team, and Housekeeping Team, all working collaboratively to provide exceptional care and service to our residents.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Ensure the home consistently meets and exceeds all regulatory standards, including those set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

    * Drive continuous improvement and work towards achieving and maintaining Outstanding CQC ratings.

    * Manage the home's budget effectively, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are utilised efficiently.

    * Develop and implement marketing strategies to maintain full occupancy and enhance the home's local reputation.

    * Build strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, commissioners, and other stakeholders.

    * Ensure residents receive high-quality, person-centred care tailored to their individual needs and preferences.

    * Monitor quality assurance processes and implement improvements where required.

    * Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and continuous professional development.

    * Actively contribute to the growth, development, and future success of the service.

    About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong leadership skills, commercial awareness, and a commitment to delivering exceptional care.

    Essential Skills & Experience

    * Proven experience as a Home Manager within a residential or nursing care setting.

    * Strong knowledge of CQC standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.

    * A successful track record of leading teams and delivering high-quality care outcomes.

    * Commercially minded with experience managing budgets and driving occupancy levels.

    * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

    * Ability to engage effectively with residents, families, colleagues, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.

    * Passion for delivering outstanding person-centred care.

    * Experience in developing and implementing marketing and business development initiatives within the private care sector.

    * Commitment to continuous improvement and achieving excellence in care delivery.

    Qualifications

    * Ideally, NMC Registered Nurse with relevant post-registration experience (desirable but not essential).

    * Relevant leadership or management qualifications within health and social care are advantageous.

    What We Offer

In return, we offer the opportunity to join a caring and supportive organisation that genuinely values its people.

    * Competitive salary and benefits package.

    * Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

    * Support from dedicated Operations and Central Support teams.

    * The opportunity to lead a committed and passionate team.

    * A rewarding career where you can make a real difference to residents' lives.

    * A positive working environment focused on quality, compassion, and continuous improvement.

If you are a dynamic and experienced care professional ready to lead a successful care home and drive exceptional standards of care, we would love to hear from you.
