How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious construction professional to develop their site-management career while working on a varied portfolio of high-quality projects. You will support the Site Manager with the safe, efficient and successful delivery of projects from the initial site setup through to completion and handover.
    Key Responsibilities
    * Assist with the day-to-day management of construction sites.
    * Support the Site Manager in coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.
    * Monitor progress against the construction programme and help address potential delays.
    * Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
    * Carry out site inspections and maintain accurate records.
    * Assist with site inductions, toolbox talks and health and safety documentation.
    * Review drawings, specifications and project information.
    * Coordinate deliveries, materials and site logistics.
    * Identify defects and support their timely resolution.
    * Maintain positive working relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
    * Help ensure compliance with company procedures and relevant building regulations.
    * Support the completion and handover process, including snagging and close-out documentation.
    Candidate Requirements
    * Previous experience in an assistant site-management, supervisory or trade-based role within construction.
    * A good understanding of construction methods, site operations and health and safety requirements.
    * Strong organisational and communication skills.
    * The ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
    * A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach.
    * Confidence working with subcontractors, suppliers and project stakeholders.
    * Good IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate site records.
    * A valid UK driving licence.
An SMSTS or SSSTS qualification, CSCS card and First Aid certificate would be advantageous. Applications are also welcomed from experienced tradespeople or site supervisors looking to take the next step into construction management
