Trade Counter Manager

Chase Taylor Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business for an experienced Trade Counter Manager to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience within the windows, doors, glazing or building supplies industry who enjoys delivering outstanding customer service while managing the day-to-day operation of a busy trade counter.
You will be the first point of contact for trade customers, ensuring they receive expert advice, efficient service and a positive experience every time they visit. Working closely with the sales, warehouse and operations teams, you'll help drive sales while ensuring the branch runs smoothly and efficiently.
The Role
* Manage the day-to-day operation of the trade counter.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with trade customers.
* Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
* Provide product advice on uPVC, aluminium windows, doors and associated products.
* Prepare quotations and follow up sales opportunities.
* Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure timely order fulfilment.
* Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues professionally.
* Monitor stock levels and work with the purchasing team where required.
* Support the Branch Manager with achieving sales targets and branch performance.
* Ensure high standards of housekeeping, health & safety and customer service are maintained.
The Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience managing or supervising a trade counter within the fenestration, glazing, builders' merchants or construction supplies sector.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
* Confident processing quotations and sales orders.
* Good product knowledge of windows, doors or building materials would be highly advantageous.
* Computer literate with experience using trade counter or order processing systems.
* A proactive and hands-on approach with strong leadership skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
