How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Winning new clients is about more than making calls – it's about understanding businesses, uncovering opportunities and becoming the trusted partner they turn to for long-term technology solutions. As a Business Development Manager, you'll join an established Managed Service Provider with almost two decades of success, helping SMEs improve their IT infrastructure through managed support, cybersecurity, cloud services and technology projects.

This is an opportunity to inherit an existing portfolio of accounts while driving new business growth, giving you the platform to develop long-term customer relationships and significantly increase your earnings through an uncapped commission structure.

    What's in it for you

Competitive basic salary of £25,000–£40,000 depending on experience
Uncapped commission with genuine earning potential
Flexible and hybrid working options to support work-life balance
Ongoing training, vendor certifications and professional development
Clear career progression into leadership and management opportunities
Support from an experienced technical team throughout the sales process
Your responsibilities as Business Development Manager

Develop new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking and referrals
Manage and grow an existing portfolio of customer accounts while identifying further opportunities
Conduct discovery meetings to understand client requirements and recommend suitable solutions
Prepare quotations and proposals before managing opportunities through to successful completion
Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts and pipeline activity
Work closely with technical specialists to deliver tailored IT solutions for customers
What we're looking for in a Business Development Manager

Previous B2B sales experience within IT, Managed Services, telecommunications or a similar sector
Proven ability to generate new business through proactive prospecting
Experience producing commercial proposals and managing a structured sales pipeline
Strong communication, negotiation and objection-handling skills
Experience using CRM systems to manage opportunities and customer activity
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm with flexible working available.

If you're ready to build a rewarding sales career with excellent earning potential, apply today for this Business Development Manager opportunity.
