Production Manager Responsibilities:
* Manage all production control activities including parts ordering and stock control.
* Monitor job progress and deliver quality products in accordance with the production plan.
* Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and other departments.
* Ensure that everyone works safely and be responsible for all H & S requirements within the department and to carry out risk assessments where required.
* Responsible for the training and development of production staff.
* Identify and lead improvements and contribute to cross functional initiatives.
* Ensure that all KPI targets are met and continuously improved upon.
* Manage the material storage ensuring that all material is stocked and issued correctly as per the appropriate procedures.
Production Manager Requirements:
* Proven experience in a Team Leader/Supervisor role, preferably managing diverse skill sets.
* Previous experience in Manufacturing/Engineering environment is essential.
* Apprentice trained Mechanical or Electrical Engineer or have equivalent experience.
* IT literate.
* Hold IOSH or NEBOSH – advantageous.
Production Manager benefits:
* Starting salary up to £50,000 DOE
* Monday – Friday working, including early finish on a Friday
* 25 days annual leave + all bank holidays
