How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A respected and growing property consultancy is seeking an experienced FRAEW Surveyor to join their specialist fire safety team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable FRAEW Surveyor to work on a varied portfolio of commercial property projects across the UK.

    The FRAEW Surveyor's Role

    The successful FRAEW Surveyor will be responsible for completing Fire Risk Appraisals of External Walls in accordance with PAS 9980, providing clear, practical advice to clients and supporting the delivery of complex fire safety instructions.

    The FRAEW Surveyor will inspect external wall systems, review available building information and assess the risk of fire spread across a range of commercial assets. They will prepare detailed technical reports, identify areas of concern and recommend proportionate remediation measures where required.

    The role will also involve liaising with clients, design teams, contractors and other fire safety professionals to ensure projects are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with current guidance.

    The FRAEW Surveyor

    The successful FRAEW Surveyor will ideally have:

    Experience completing FRAEW assessments and PAS 9980 appraisals
    A background in building surveying, fire engineering or a related discipline
    Strong knowledge of external wall systems and façade construction
    Experience working on commercial property projects
    Relevant professional qualifications, such as MRICS, MIFireE or an equivalent industry-recognised credential
    Excellent report writing and client-facing skills
    A full UK driving licence
