How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

My client is looking to appoint an experienced Quality Engineer to join their Quality team working on HS2, supporting the delivery of civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high-speed railway.

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects, where you will take ownership of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), ensuring quality assurance processes are embedded throughout construction. You will work closely with construction delivery teams to ensure quality documentation is produced, maintained and completed in line with client requirements, supporting the successful handover of project assets.

Reporting into the Section Quality Manager, you will work collaboratively with site delivery teams, designers, client representatives and internal stakeholders to ensure quality, technical assurance and completion requirements are achieved throughout the construction lifecycle.

This opportunity would suit an experienced Quality Engineer who enjoys working within major infrastructure projects, driving quality standards, collaborating with delivery teams and ensuring successful project completion through robust assurance processes.

    Key Responsibilities
·You will take ownership of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), ensuring they are implemented correctly and remain compliant throughout construction activities.
·You will work closely with site delivery teams to plan and manage quality assurance activities, ensuring documentation is completed accurately to facilitate the timely handover of project assets.
·You will ensure all ITPs conform to EKFB standards and client requirements while supporting construction phase quality, assurance and completions activities.
·You will build strong working relationships with designers, client representatives and internal stakeholders, providing quality guidance and ensuring consistent implementation of quality assurance procedures across the project.

    Essential Requirements
·Previous experience working as a Quality Engineer or within a Quality or Completions role on major infrastructure or construction projects for a main contractor is essential.
·Candidates must hold an Engineering degree or similar qualification.
