Role Summary:
Working as a Project Manager in the Rolling Stock industry specifically focused on design and installation for rolling stock vehicles. This role primarily focuses on the design side with this being favoured in a candidate's experience. You will be working with a strong team based out of their office in Derby. There will also be a requirement to get involved with managing installation projects where the company will subcontract for the manufacturing and installation teams.
You will be working across multiple projects and teams in this role. From design work to full mods and refurbs.
Essential Functions:
* Responsible for, and management of technical delivery of projects, ensuring they are delivered within the commercial constraints.
* To deliver an end product that meets the needs of the client, conforms to professional and recognised industry standards, within the company's quality, safety and environmental policies and management system.
* Ensure all work is independently checked.
* Actively participate in and contribute to personal appraisals with a view to identifying opportunities for training, continuing professional development and the potential for increased responsibility.
* To support the company in sales and marketing activity and promoting the company's capabilities wherever possible.
* To deliver end products to meet the client's brief, reflecting the interests of the company and in line with its policy statements and management system.
* Additional duties and responsibilities identified during a project life cycle may be required by the company from time to time subject to agreement with the employee.
Requirements:
* Understanding and knowledge of the UK Rail Industry and its associated standards and regulations.
* Technical background within the rail or engineering industry.
* Relevant professional design/engineering qualifications and/or experience.
* Ability to communicate effectively and constructively on all levels as part of a team, or as an individual, when representing the company.
* Adaptable and flexible approach to problem solving and undertaking work

£450.00 - £600.00 per day
