How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a well-established residential developer on a 120-unit traditional build housing development.

    This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a high-performing site team, supporting the Senior Site Manager in the successful delivery of a flagship residential scheme. You will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the development, ensuring work is completed safely, on programme and to the exceptional quality standards the business is known for.

    This position offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Site Manager looking to further develop their career with a respected residential developer that values quality, teamwork and long-term career progression.

    The Role

    Working closely with the Senior Site Manager, you will be responsible for:

    * Assisting with the day-to-day management of the construction programme.

    * Supervising subcontractors and ensuring work is completed safely and to specification.

    * Monitoring quality throughout the build process and maintaining the highest construction standards.

    * Carrying out regular inspections and ensuring any defects are identified and rectified promptly.

    * Promoting and maintaining excellent health and safety standards across the site.

    * Assisting with programme management to ensure build targets are achieved.

    * Supporting customer-focused activities, including plot inspections and ensuring homes are completed to an exceptional finish.

    * Building positive working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and internal departments.

    * Maintaining accurate site records and assisting with reporting to senior management.

    * Leading by example and contributing to a positive, collaborative site culture.

    About You

    We are looking for an Assistant Site Manager who has:

    * Previous experience working on traditional build residential developments.

    * Experience working for a recognised UK residential developer.

    * A stable career history demonstrating commitment, reliability and longevity with previous employers.

    * Strong organisational and communication skills.

    * A proactive, hands-on approach and a keen eye for quality.

    * The confidence to supervise subcontractors and maintain high site standards.

    * A genuine passion for delivering quality homes and an excellent customer experience.

    * A positive, team-focused attitude with the ambition to continue developing their career.
