The successful Hydraulic Service Technician / Hydraulic Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer will undertake the service, repair, installation, commissioning, flushing and testing of hydraulic equipment at customer sites and within the company’s workshop.
The role will primarily cover the North East, Cumbria, Scotland and the Scottish Borders. Most work is completed locally, although occasional travel and short periods working away from home will be required.
The Hydraulic Service Technician / Hydraulic Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer will ideally have hands-on experience troubleshooting hydraulic systems, completing planned maintenance and overhauling hydraulic components. Training can be provided for the appropriate candidate.

Salary: £38,000
37.5-hour working week
Working hours: 7:30am–3:30pm

Overtime paid at 1.5x standard rate and double time where applicable

Previous experience servicing, maintaining or repairing hydraulic systems and equipment.
Experience troubleshooting hydraulic faults in workshop or field-service environments.
Knowledge of hydraulic components, power units and associated pipework.
Experience completing planned maintenance and component overhauls.
A strong mechanical aptitude and practical, hands-on engineering ability.
Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
Flexible regarding overtime and occasional short periods working away from home.
Full UK driving licence.
Based within a reasonable commuting distance of Houghton-le-Spring, including Newcastle, Sunderland, Blyth, Hartlepool, Teesside and surrounding areas
