The Real Estate Paralegal's Role
The successful Real Estate Paralegal will support fee earners with a varied caseload of property transactions from instruction through to post-completion.
Responsibilities will include:
Assisting with residential and commercial conveyancing transactions
Opening files and completing AML and compliance checks
Preparing reports on title, searches and mortgages under supervision
Raising and reviewing enquiries on title, contract packs and searches
Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and other solicitors
Supporting exchange, completion and post-completion matters
Drafting completion statements, invoices and legal correspondence
Updating case management systems and maintaining accurate files
Providing administrative support throughout the conveyancing process
The Real Estate Paralegal
Previous conveyancing paralegal experience within a law firm
Good understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction to completion
Experience raising enquiries and reviewing title documents
Law degree, LPC, SQE or equivalent legal qualification preferred
Strong organisational and communication skills
Commercially aware with excellent attention to detail
Proactive, adaptable and able to manage multiple deadlines
