How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Project Engineer

    Location: Greater Manchester

    Permanent

    We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering manufacturer supplying complex machined components into highly regulated industries.

    Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Project Engineer to join their customer projects team.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone with around one or two years' experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment who is looking to develop their career within project engineering. Full support and training will be provided by an experienced team.

    The Role

    Working closely with customers and internal departments, you'll help coordinate engineering projects from enquiry through to delivery, ensuring customer requirements are understood, communicated effectively and delivered on time.

    You'll liaise with production, planning, procurement and quality teams while building strong relationships with customers and gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle.

    Responsibilities

    Support the delivery of customer projects from quotation through to completion.
    Review customer requirements and help translate them into manufacturing plans.
    Prepare quotations and respond to customer enquiries.
    Monitor project progress and delivery schedules.
    Liaise with production, planning, procurement and quality departments.
    Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
    Maintain accurate project documentation using SAP and internal systems.
    Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.About You

    You'll ideally have gained around one or two years' experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment and be looking to build a long-term career within project engineering.

    Essential

    1-2 years' experience within engineering or manufacturing.
    Experience using SAP ERP.
    Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
    Strong communication and organisational skills.
    Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.Desirable

    Knowledge of precision machining or CNC manufacturing.
    Customer-facing experience.
    Exposure to purchasing or supply chain activities.What's on Offer
