How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Lift Engineer
    Lift Service Engineer, Lift Callout Engineer, Lift Maintenance, Lift Industry
    Central London

    Basic Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience & qualifications)

    Marmon Lift Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Lift Service & Callout Engineer to join a leading international lift engineering business, working across four prestigious resident sites in Central London.     This role covers four major customer sites across Central London.

    Commutable from: Central London, Westminster, Camden, Islington, Southwark, Kensington, Wembley, Ilford, Enfield, Barking, Bromley, Croydon and surrounding areas.

    The Lift Engineer Role:

    Respond to emergency breakdowns, diagnose faults efficiently, and carry out effective repairs.
    Carry out planned servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of passenger lifts.
    Complete all service records and digital documentation accurately and on time.
    Carry out safety checks, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
    Plan and manage your own workload across four resident customer sites.
    Maintain van stock and order replacement parts as required.
    Recommend parts and equipment required to keep lifts compliant and operating safely.

    Ideal Lift Engineer Candidate:

    NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent) - Essential
    Full UK driving licence - Essential
    Previous experience within lift service, maintenance or repair - Essential
    Good working knowledge of major lift manufacturers, including traction and hydraulic equipment.
    Strong communication and customer service skills.
    Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership of your workload.
    Committed to maintaining high standards of health and safety.
    Live within a commutable distance of Central London.
