JL Renewable Solutions are delighted to be supporting a leading construction contractor in the recruitment of an experienced Project Planner to join a high-performing project team delivering a major new-build development in London.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a business with an excellent reputation for delivering complex, high-value construction projects for blue-chip clients.
As Project Planner, you'll play a key role in the successful planning, coordination and delivery of a landmark project, working closely with project managers, design teams, engineers and site teams throughout the project lifecycle.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Planner, you'll be responsible for developing, maintaining and monitoring project programmes, ensuring design and construction activities remain on track and project milestones are successfully achieved.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain comprehensive project programmes from design through to completion.
* Work closely with Project Managers, Design Teams and Engineers to develop realistic and achievable construction programmes.
* Monitor programme performance and identify potential risks or delays.
* Recommend programme recovery strategies where required.
* Coordinate subcontractor and supplier activities to support project delivery.
* Carry out regular site visits to monitor progress and update project schedules.
* Produce weekly and monthly programme reports for internal and client stakeholders.
* Review project drawings, specifications and construction information to identify programme risks and opportunities.
* Support project teams throughout the planning and delivery process.
About You
We're keen to hear from experienced Project Planners with a background in major construction or infrastructure projects.
You'll ideally have:
* A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in Project Planning or Project Controls.
* Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6, ASTA Powerproject and Microsoft Project.
* Experience working under NEC contracts.
* Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM).
* Excellent analytical and programme management skills.
* Strong communication skills with confidence leading client and project meetings.
* The ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced project environment.
Experience within sectors such as Data Centres, Commercial Construction, Infrastructure, Energy, Utilities or Major Projects would be highly advantageous.
