How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you an experienced Scaffolder, Scaffolding Assessor, or Skills Coach with a passion for developing the next generation of construction professionals? Do you have the industry expertise to coach apprentices, assess workplace competence, and support learners through to successful End-Point Assessment (EPA)?

    This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading construction training provider where you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality apprenticeship training, workplace assessment, and employer engagement across the scaffolding sector. You'll work directly with apprentices, employers, and technical instructors to develop occupational competence, ensure funding compliance, and support outstanding learner outcomes.

    The Role

    As a Scaffolding Skills Coach, you will manage a caseload of apprentices, providing workplace coaching, technical assessment, progress reviews, and employer engagement to ensure learners successfully achieve their apprenticeship and progress confidently towards End-Point Assessment.

    Key Responsibilities

    *

    Deliver occupational coaching that develops apprentices' scaffolding knowledge, practical skills, safe working practices, and professional behaviours aligned to apprenticeship standards.

    *

    Conduct workplace assessments, observations, and competency reviews, providing constructive feedback and SMART action plans to support continuous learner development.

    *

    Complete Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Recognition of Prior Experience (RPE) assessments to create personalised learner journeys and individual training plans.

    *

    Plan and deliver 12-weekly tripartite progress reviews with apprentices and employers, monitoring progress against Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours (KSBs).

    *

    Support apprentices to achieve End-Point Assessment (EPA) readiness through structured coaching, technical guidance, and targeted interventions.

    *

    Review, assess, and quality-check off-the-job (OTJ) learning, reflective diaries, portfolio evidence, and learner submissions to ensure funding compliance.

    *

    Maintain accurate learner records, progress reports, and portfolio evidence using learner management systems in line with ESFA funding requirements.

    *

    Build strong relationships with employers, site supervisors, and workplace mentors to maximise learner progression and employer satisfaction.

    *

    Promote safeguarding, Prevent, equality, diversity, inclusion, and learner wellbeing while ensuring all compliance and quality assurance requirements are met.

    *

    Participate in standardisation, quality improvement, CPD, and continuous development activities to maintain outstanding apprenticeship delivery standards.

    The Ideal Candidate

    We're looking for an experienced Scaffolding Skills Coach, Trainer, Assessor, or Construction Apprenticeship professional with strong occupational competence and a passion for supporting apprentices to achieve successful career outcomes.

    You Will Have

    *

    Recent and relevant occupational experience within the scaffolding or wider construction industry.

    *

    Strong understanding of Apprenticeship Standards, End-Point Assessment (EPA), Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSBs), and Off-the-Job (OTJ) learning requirements.

    *

    Experience coaching, assessing, mentoring, or supporting apprentices within workplace or vocational learning environments.

    *

    Ability to conduct workplace observations, competency assessments, progress reviews, and evidence-based assessment decisions.

    *

    Excellent knowledge of apprenticeship compliance, learner journey documentation, ESFA funding requirements, and quality assurance processes.

    *

    Strong communication and employer engagement skills with the ability to build productive relationships across apprenticeships.

    *

    Excellent organisational skills with experience managing learner caseloads, planning workplace visits, and maintaining accurate digital records.

    *

    Commitment to safeguarding, Prevent, equality, diversity, inclusion, and delivering outstanding learner experiences.

    *

    Level 3 qualification or equivalent occupational competence within Scaffolding or Construction, with teaching, assessing, or coaching qualifications advantageous.

    *

    Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to employer sites as required.
