How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    GCSE Maths | Functional Skills | Entry Level Maths

    Are you a Maths Teacher looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference without the pressures of a mainstream classroom?

    We're recruiting for a full-time Maths Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in the East Grinstead area. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach GCSE Maths, Functional Skills and Entry Level Maths in a supportive, well-structured environment where relationships and learning come first.

    This isn't what many people imagine when they think of an SEMH setting. The school is calm, highly organised and has clear routines in place, meaning there is limited challenging behaviour. Staff are well supported, class sizes are small, and you'll have the time and resources to focus on delivering engaging lessons that help students succeed.

    The Role

    You'll be responsible for planning and delivering Maths lessons across GCSE, Functional Skills and Entry Level qualifications, adapting your teaching to meet the individual needs of students. You'll encourage confidence, resilience and a positive attitude towards learning while helping pupils achieve qualifications that will support their future.

    About the School

    Set within over 40 acres of beautiful countryside, the school provides an exceptional learning environment. Students benefit from unique facilities, including on-site stables and extensive outdoor spaces that form part of the school's therapeutic approach to education.

    The leadership team is approachable and supportive, with a strong focus on staff wellbeing and professional development. This is a school where teachers are valued and given the opportunity to do what they do best, teach.

    We're Looking For

    * A qualified Maths Teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent).

    * Experience teaching GCSE Maths.

    * The ability to deliver Functional Skills and Entry Level Maths.

    * A positive, adaptable and engaging teaching style.

    * Someone who is passionate about helping every student reach their full potential.

    What You'll Receive

    * Small class sizes.

    * A calm, structured and supportive working environment.

    * Outstanding facilities in a beautiful rural setting.

    * Opportunities for ongoing professional development.

    * The chance to have a real and lasting impact on young people's lives.

    If you're looking for a teaching role where you can enjoy the rewards of helping students succeed in a supportive, well-resourced school, we'd love to hear from you.
