How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Registered Manager

    Nottingham

    £39,054 - £44,745 per annum

Make a real difference, every single day

At NCHA, we believe great services start with great leaders. We're looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead our supported living services at ESL Nuthall, Nottingham, helping to create environments where people can thrive, achieve their goals and live as independently as possible. In return, you'll join an organisation that values its people, supports professional development and gives you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others every day.

    About the Service

ESL Nuthall is a CQC-registered supported living service in Nottingham, providing high-quality, person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs, physical disabilities, dual diagnoses and complex needs. Our aim is to empower people to live as independently as possible, make their own choices and achieve positive outcomes within their local communities.

The service operates across two locations. Our main supported living site on near Cinderhill, supports up to 15 individuals across several properties within the complex, as well as one outreach customer living nearby. We also operate a single-person satellite service in Hyson Green. Across both services, dedicated staff provide 24-hour support, tailored to each individual's needs, goals and aspirations.

The service is led by a Registered Manager, supported by one Assistant Manager, one Care Co-ordinator, and 3 Senior Support Workers, alongside a skilled team of Support Workers and Care Assistants. Together, they deliver safe, responsive and outcome-focused support while promoting independence, wellbeing and social inclusion.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a well-established service with a strong commitment to quality, continuous improvement and delivering excellent support for the people we serve.

Please note: The service office is located on the first floor and can only be accessed via an external flight of stairs. Alternative meeting arrangements can be made where required.

    About the Role

As our Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership, performance and day-to-day management of our supported living services, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred support that meets the needs of the people we serve. You will lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, creating a positive and inclusive culture where colleagues feel supported, valued and empowered to achieve excellent outcomes. The role includes responsibility for service quality, safeguarding, compliance, health and safety, workforce planning, financial performance and continuous improvement, ensuring all contractual, regulatory and organisational standards are consistently met.

Working closely with customers, families, commissioners, health and social care professionals and other partners, you will build and maintain effective relationships that support service delivery and drive positive outcomes. You will use customer feedback, performance data and risk management processes to inform decision-making, monitor service effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement. You will also contribute to the development of new business opportunities and wider organisational objectives, helping to shape and grow services that make a lasting difference to people's lives.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who is passionate about delivering excellent care and support, developing high-performing teams and championing independence, choice and inclusion. If you thrive in a dynamic environment, can confidently manage performance, budgets and change, and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of service delivery, we'd love to hear from you.

    Working Hours

The role is mainly completed within office hours, with some occasional early mornings, late evenings, weekend and/or overnight working expected. You must have flexibility to meet the needs of the service.

    What you’ll bring

We are looking for an experienced and confident manager who can lead high-quality services, support teams to perform well, and ensure positive outcomes for service users and tenants. You will bring strong leadership skills, sound judgement and a clear commitment to delivering person-centred support in a regulated care, housing or supported living environment.

You will also have comprehensive knowledge of the needs and requirements of our customers, with the ability to use this understanding to shape effective service delivery. As a successful candidate, you will have substantial management experience within a social care environment, alongside proven experience of supported housing or care settings. You will be confident managing budgets and financial processes, supporting change within teams and developing colleagues through effective performance management, supervision and support.

You will hold a minimum NVQ Level 5, QCF Diploma Level 5 or equivalent qualification in Management or Leadership, Health and Social Care. You must be able and willing to register with CQC. You will bring a good level of numeracy, literacy and IT skills, together with the ability to analyse information, make informed decisions and maintain high standards of service quality. Just as importantly, you will understand and value the needs of people from diverse social, cultural and racial backgrounds, and will be committed to modelling NCHA’s CLEAR values and purpose. A driving licence and access to a vehicle is required unless a disability precludes this.

    Ready to lead meaningful change?

If you’re looking for a leadership role where you can combine purpose, challenge, and impact, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today and help shape services that change lives.

Interviews will be held on 24 August 2026. Successful candidates will be required to complete a work-related test, an online ability test, and presentation as part of their recruitment process.

NCHA strives to be a welcoming and inclusive employer as such we particularly welcome applicants from ethnic minority communities, LGBTQ+ communities, candidates with disabilities, as they are currently under-represented within our workforce principally in our people manager roles
