Key Responsibilities:
Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, and fault-finding activities
Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive remedial works
Install, modify, repair, and replace electrical equipment including switchgear, distribution boards, containment, cabling, motors, controls, and associated systems
Diagnose faults and implement effective technical solutions
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation
Support commissioning and functional testing activities
Ensure all works comply with BS 7671, ECS procedures, and client technical standards
Complete site documentation including RAMS, permits, inspection records, test certificates, and commissioning sheets
Job Requirements:
Recognised electrical qualification essential (Electrical Apprenticeship / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
ECS / JIB Gold Card or equivalent industry-recognised competency card
Strong technical understanding of electrical installations and safe isolation procedures
Experience in maintenance, fault finding, and installation works
Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
Strong understanding of health and safety requirements
Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
Inspection and Testing (2391 or equivalent)
Experience working on water utility or industrial assets
Experience with MCCs, motors, pumps, PLC panels, and control systems
Confined Space training
LV authorised person / switching experience
HV awareness or authorisation
IPAF / PASMA / CPCS / lifting operations
First Aid
