We are currently recruiting for a EC&I Department Head on behalf of our sister company TUV Rheinland Industrial Services (TRIS). The suitable person must be a graduate Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer, chartered with a minimum of 10 years experience.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver EC&I engineering design within budget and schedule.
Prepare scopes, estimates, calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings.
Act as EC&I design authority and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
Produce and review SLDs, schematics, cable schedules, and layout drawings.
Perform electrical design calculations (earthing, cable sizing, short circuit, load flow, battery sizing, lighting, voltage drop, etc.).
Coordinate with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams.
Support procurement, technical reviews, and 3D model development.
Participate in safety, risk, and constructability reviews.
Manage project priorities, scope changes, and quality requirements.
Key Requirements
10+ years' EC&I experience in Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, or Heavy Engineering.
Engineering degree; Chartered Engineer preferred.
Strong knowledge of IEC/IEEE/ANSI and hazardous area (ATEX) standards.
Experience with HV/LV distribution, MCCs, switchgear, relay coordination, and power system studies.
Knowledge of Functional Safety (preferred).
Proficient in AutoCAD, AVEVA E3D, DIALux/CG Lux, and MS Office.
Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
