Reporting into senior finance leadership, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day financial management function, delivering accurate financial reporting, commercial insight, and partnering with key stakeholders to support business growth. This is a broad and varied role offering genuine influence, exposure to senior leadership, and the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.
Key responsibilities:
Preparing accurate and timely monthly management accounts, supported by meaningful analysis and commentary
Leading the budgeting, forecasting, and annual financial planning processes
Producing detailed financial and commercial analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and presenting findings to senior stakeholders
Business partnering with department heads and senior management to support commercial decision-making, improve financial performance, and drive profitability
Managing cash flow forecasting, balance sheet reconciliations, and working capital
Supporting financial planning, investment appraisals, and business case preparation for strategic initiatives
Ensuring robust financial controls are maintained while supporting regulatory and compliance requirements
Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts and liaising with external auditors where required
Supporting, developing, and mentoring members of the finance team
Identifying and implementing improvements to finance processes, reporting, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
About you:
ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
Previous experience as a Finance Manager, Senior Management Accountant, or an experienced Management Accountant looking to step into a Finance Manager position
Background within financial services, banking, insurance, wealth management, or another regulated environment would be advantageous
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders across the business
Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
