Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a welcoming 1-form entry primary school in Highbury, Islington, seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from September on a full-time, long-term basis.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to help pupils reach their full potential both academically and socially.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils within the classroom to maximise learning opportunities
Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions where required
Assist the class teacher in preparing engaging learning activities
Encourage positive behaviour and promote pupil wellbeing
Support children with additional learning needs when necessary
Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
A minimum of 6 months' experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a UK primary school (essential)
Experience supporting children across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A calm, patient and proactive approach
Strong behaviour management skills
A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
