Location: Telford Street Depot, Newport, NP19 0ES
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 1:54pm
Contract: Temporary (12 weeks)
We're recruiting on behalf of Newport City Council for reliable and hardworking Driver/General Operatives to join the Waste & Cleansing team.
In this role, you'll be responsible for carrying out street cleansing duties and driving council vehicles when required. You'll help keep Newport's streets and public spaces clean by completing daily routes, collecting litter, emptying bins, and working safely in all weather conditions.

Full UK driving licence (essential)

Ability to carry out physically demanding outdoor work

Good teamwork and communication skills

Reliable, motivated, and able to work on your own initiative

Previous experience in waste, cleansing, or similar manual roles is desirable but not essential
