How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join a leading contractor on a major Data Centre project. This Site Manager role is ideal for someone with a strong background in structural steel packages, offering the chance to lead a significant section of works on a high-profile scheme, with multiple future data centre projects already secured.

    About the Role of Site Manager

    As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for delivering a major steel package on a large-scale data centre project. Working closely with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, and specialist steel subcontractors, you will ensure that works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team with a strong pipeline of upcoming data centre developments, providing long-term career prospects beyond the initial project.

    Responsibilities for Site Manager

    Managing the delivery of a major structural steel package from erection through to completion
    * Coordinating steelwork contractors and associated trades on-site
    * Ensuring works are completed safely and in accordance with project specifications
    * Monitoring progress against programme milestones and reporting to senior management
    * Conducting quality inspections and ensuring installation standards are maintained
    * Reviewing RAMS and implementing Health & Safety procedures across all steel operations
    * Managing logistics, crane operations, and site access requirements related to steel installation
    * Liaising with design teams, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical issuesRequirements for Site Manager

    Proven experience managing structural steel packages on major construction projects
    * Previous Data Centre experience highly desirable
    * Strong understanding of steel frame erection, sequencing, and associated temporary works
    * SMSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid qualification required
    * Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and managing complex programmes
    * Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
