How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We're supporting a leading manufacturing business in their search for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join their Engineering team at a large-scale process manufacturing site in Norwich. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineering graduate looking to build a long-term career within a complex and highly regulated industrial environment.

    As part of a structured graduate development programme, you'll gain hands-on experience across mechanical integrity, asset reliability, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement, whilst working alongside experienced engineers and developing towards Chartered status.

    Core Duties:

    Supporting the integrity and compliance of pressure systems and critical plant equipment
    Assisting with reliability improvement initiatives across site assets
    Analysing inspection data to identify maintenance and performance improvement opportunities
    Participating in root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions
    Providing technical support to maintenance, operational, and project engineering activities
    Working with suppliers, contractors, and specialist engineering partners
    Supporting preventative maintenance planning and continuous improvement projects
    Developing and improving engineering systems and proceduresAbout You:

    Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
    Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles
    Keen to work towards Chartered Engineer status
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
    Able to work both independently and as part of a team
    Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
