How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Site Manager - Government Infrastructure Project

    Location: Cambridge

    Salary: £75,000 per annum

    Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

    Project Duration: 4 Years

    About the Role

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Site Manager to lead the delivery of electrical works on a major government infrastructure project based at an HMP site in Cambridge.

    This is a long-term, four-year programme offering excellent job security, a competitive salary, and the opportunity to play a key role in delivering essential upgrades within a secure and highly regulated environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage the day-to-day delivery of electrical works on site.
    Lead and supervise site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
    Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
    Monitor project progress and ensure programme milestones are achieved.
    Maintain compliance with health and safety legislation, project specifications, and site procedures.
    Coordinate with project managers, client representatives, and prison authorities.
    Review and manage RAMS, permits, inspections, and quality documentation.Requirements

    Proven experience as an Electrical Site Manager
    NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
    SMSTS qualification.
    18th Edition Wiring Regulations (preferred).
    Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and site management.
    Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
    Ability to obtain and maintain the security clearance required to work within an HMP environment.What We're Looking For
