How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Maintain product launch trackers.

    * Support new product development with technical documentation.

    * Approve pack copy and artwork for legal compliance.

    * Maintain customer specification portals.

    * Respond promptly to customer portal alerts.

    * Coordinate food safety audits and documentation.

    * Manage calibration schedules and external service providers.

    * Oversee microbiological, nutritional, allergen, and chemical testing.

    * Coordinate shelf-life assessments and product validation.

    * Support BRC Food Safety and Quality Systems.

    * Conduct internal audits and manage corrective actions.

    * Produce monthly quality reports.

    * Lead continuous improvement initiatives.

    * Analyse customer complaints and identify trends.

    * Produce customer KPI reports and scorecards.

    * Support implementation of customer and legislative requirements.

    * Provide technical support to production teams.

    * Manage pest control and allergen management programmes.

    * Deputise for the Quality Assurance Manager.

    The successful candidate will ideally have:

    * Experience in a technical or quality role within food manufacturing.

    * Strong knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, food safety legislation, and quality systems.

    * Experience managing product specifications, customer portals, with excellent organisational, analytical, communication, and IT skills.

    Why Join Us?

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing technical team where you'll have the chance to make a real impact on food safety, product quality, and continuous improvement. You'll work in a collaborative environment with opportunities to develop your technical expertise while contributing to the success of our business.

    If you're passionate about food safety, quality, and continuous improvement, we'd love to hear from you
