How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Assistant Pensions Administrator – Cardiff, South Wales
    Location: Cardiff, South Wales

    About the Role
    We're representing a well-established and growing wealth management practice based in Cardiff, providing tailored financial planning and wealth management services to individuals, families and business owners across South Wales and beyond. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an Assistant Pensions Administrator to join their experienced and supportive team.
    This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual looking to develop a long-term career within wealth management and financial services. Working alongside experienced advisers and administrators, you'll gain exposure to pension administration, compliance and client service while benefiting from ongoing training and genuine career progression.
    Key Responsibilities
    * Process pension applications, transfers and associated client documentation.
    * Liaise with pension providers, investment platforms and third-party organisations to progress client cases.
    * Monitor outstanding requirements and ensure pension cases are completed efficiently.
    * Maintain accurate client records and update CRM and back-office systems.
    * Support financial advisers with client review preparation and pension administration.
    * Assist with compliance activities, including file reviews, document checking and audit trail maintenance.
    * Prepare client correspondence, meeting packs and supporting documentation.
    * Manage electronic filing systems and ensure client records remain accurate and compliant.
    * Coordinate appointments, manage diaries and handle client enquiries professionally.
    * Provide general administrative support to the wider financial planning and wealth management team.
    Ideal Candidate Profile
    * Previous experience within an administrative or office support role.
    * Excellent organisational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
    * Confident using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
    * Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    * Professional, proactive and client-focused approach.
    * Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
    * Previous experience within financial services, pensions, wealth management, compliance, legal services or another professional services environment would be advantageous.
    * Experience using CRM, document management or financial planning software is desirable.
    * An interest in building a long-term career within financial planning and wealth management.
    * Willingness to study towards relevant professional qualifications would be beneficial.
