How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Lead Temporary Works Co-ordinator

    Leiston, Suffolk (Sizewell C Project)

    £70,000 – £80,000 + comprehensive benefits package

    A leading civils and groundworks contractor delivering works on the Sizewell C development is looking to appoint an experienced Lead Temporary Works Co-ordinator to join their expanding project team in Leiston.

    This is an excellent opportunity to take a senior role on one of the UK’s largest and most high-profile infrastructure projects, working within a business that has a strong reputation for delivering complex civil engineering and groundworks packages safely and efficiently.

    The Role

    Reporting into the senior project leadership team, you will take ownership of the temporary works process across multiple work fronts, ensuring all temporary works are properly planned, coordinated, checked and implemented in line with current legislation and industry best practice.

    Key Responsibilities

    Lead and manage the temporary works coordination process across the project.

    Ensure compliance with BS 5975 and all relevant temporary works procedures.

    Coordinate temporary works designs, approvals, inspections and permits.

    Liaise with designers, engineers, site management teams and subcontractors.

    Maintain the temporary works register and associated documentation.

    Chair temporary works coordination meetings and provide technical guidance to project teams.

    Monitor implementation on site and ensure temporary works are constructed and dismantled in accordance with approved designs.

    Promote a strong health, safety and quality culture across all operations.

    Requirements

    Proven experience as a Temporary Works Co-ordinator within civils, infrastructure or groundworks projects.

    TWC certification (essential).

    Strong understanding of BS 5975 temporary works procedures.

    Experience managing temporary works on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.

    Ability to communicate effectively with engineering, design and operational teams.

    Excellent organisational and documentation management skills.

    Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline would be advantageous.
