How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Aspiring Speech & Language Therapist

    Chichester - SEN - Autism - Speech, Language & Communication Needs - West Sussex - Education - Learning Support Assistant - £93-£105 per day

    Do you have a passion for supporting children with Learning Difficulties, including Autism, and Speech, Language & Communication needs?

    This specialist built school in Chichester are looking for an Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist/SEN Learning Support Assistant (SEN LSA) to support children mild to severe learning difficulties, including speech, language and communication needs, and autism.

    This role in Chichester is an excellent way to get your 'foot in the door', providing the opportunity to work closely and network with other teams of professionals, gaining relevant experience, and expanding your knowledge and skillset. The Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist/SEN LSA role will give you essential experience within a challenging yet rewarding setting.

    Career progression routes include Speech and Language Therapy, Special Needs Teacher, Occupational Therapy and various Child Psychology and Educational Psychology routes.

    A common feature for many children and young people with special educational needs is marginalisation and disadvantage, trauma, dysfunctional family relationships, low educational attainment and stigmatisation. Subsequently they face many barriers in life and are more 'at risk' of negative outcomes. As an Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist/SEN LSA, you will be instrumental in providing consistency, and equipping the children with tools to ensure they feel safe, secure, empowered, and believe that they can succeed in life.

    Job Role and Responsibilities of an Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist:

    Assist the class teacher in providing the learning experience of students
    Behaviour and pastoral support
    Ability to build robust and effective relationships with students
    Practical approach to meet the individual needs of students
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    Caring, compassionate, and a good listener
    Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students
    Ensure safeguarding of students
    Attend staff meetings and complete appropriate CPD
    Able to commute to Chichester**Start date September
    **Excellent on-site training, support and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students
    **Mon-Fri, 8:30am-3:30pm, term time only
    **£93-105 per day
    **You MUST have right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorship
