How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

A well-established construction consultancy in Birmingham is seeking a Project Manager with around three years' experience to join its growing team. The Project Manager will gain exposure to a varied portfolio of projects across the hotel, residential, education and film studio sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who is ready to take on greater responsibility within a supportive consultancy. The successful Project Manager will work alongside experienced senior professionals, while the Project Manager develops their client-facing and project delivery skills. The Project Manager will benefit from structured professional development, strong APC support and a clear route towards chartership.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

    The Project Manager's role

The Project Manager will support and manage projects from early feasibility and design through procurement, construction and handover. Responsibilities will include coordinating consultant teams, preparing project programmes, monitoring risks and producing clear progress reports.

The Project Manager will attend and chair meetings, liaise with clients and contractors, and help ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed cost, quality and programme objectives. The role will initially include work for a major telecommunications client, alongside projects involving hotels, residential developments, schools and film studios.

The Project Manager will also support tender processes, consultant appointments, contract administration and stakeholder coordination. As their experience develops, they will be encouraged to take full ownership of increasingly complex commissions.

    The Project Manager

The successful Project Manager will have:

Around three years' experience within a UK construction consultancy
A RICS-accredited degree in Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline
A strong desire to complete the RICS APC and become chartered
Experience supporting projects through several RIBA stages
Good knowledge of construction procurement, contracts and project reporting
Strong communication, organisation and client-facing skills
The confidence to manage multiple workstreams and project priorities

    In Return?

    £40,000 - £50,000
    Hybrid working
    Flexible working hours
    Structured APC and chartership support
    Professional membership fees
    Pension contribution
    Discretionary bonus
Exposure to telecommunications, hotel, residential, education and film studio projects
Clear progression towards Senior Project Manager
