How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Description

    The Conveyancing Paralegal undertakes a broad range of administrative and legal support tasks to assist in the conveyancing process. The role focuses on managing property transactions efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and firm procedures. The post holder liaises with clients, solicitors, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other relevant parties to facilitate smooth property transfers.

    Key Responsibilities

    Prepare and review legal documents related to residential and commercial property transactions including contracts, transfer deeds, and mortgage documents.
    Carry out searches and investigations such as local authority searches, environmental searches, and title checks to support conveyancing processes.
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and manage electronic case management systems effectively.
    Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other stakeholders to obtain necessary information and provide updates on transaction progress.
    Assist in calculating financial elements of transactions including stamp duty, mortgage payments, and deposit requirements.
    Coordinate with third parties including surveyors, valuers, and insurers to ensure completion of relevant reports and documentation.
    Support solicitors in preparing for exchange of contracts and completion of property transactions.
    Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with regulatory and procedural requirements throughout the conveyancing process.
    Identify and escalate any issues or discrepancies promptly to the supervising solicitor or conveyancer.
    Provide administrative support including drafting correspondence, filing, and managing appointments.
