How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

At cardfactory and Funky Pigeon, we're looking for a creative and social-first Social Media Executive to help bring both brands to life across our social channels. This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly formed Brand and Social Media team and play a key role in delivering a new social media strategy across two well-known brands. You'll have the opportunity to create engaging content, grow online communities and help shape how cardfactory and Funky Pigeon show up across social media. Working both behind and in front of the camera, you'll have the freedom to bring fresh ideas, creative thinking and a social-first mindset to the team. Based at either the cardfactory Support Centre in Wakefield or the Funky Pigeon office in Bristol, this role offers hybrid working with 2 days per week in the office, alongside regular travel across the UK to stores, events and content shoots.

    What you'll be doing
You'll support the delivery of social media activity across cardfactory and Funky Pigeon, creating engaging content that drives brand awareness, customer engagement and community growth. Working across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube and LinkedIn, you'll help keep our brands relevant, visible and connected with customers. The role will involve planning, creating and scheduling a variety of content, from social posts and graphics through to Reels and short-form video. You'll work closely with internal teams and creative agency partners to support campaigns, product launches and key seasonal moments. You'll be confident both behind and in front of the camera, creating content that taps into social trends, cultural moments and influencer-led activity. You'll also use performance insights to continually optimise content and identify new opportunities to grow engagement.

    What we're looking for
Experience creating, managing and scheduling content across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
Strong content creation and editing skills, including video content and social copywriting
Confidence working both in front of and behind the camera
A good understanding of social media trends, influencer marketing and platform best practice
A proactive, creative and organised approach with the ability to manage multiple projects

    £28000.00 - £30000.00 per year
