How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    I'm working with a leading global healthcare organization who are seeking an experienced Scientific Communications Manager/Senior Scientific Writer to develop high-quality scientific content that supports publication strategies and scientific engagement activities across multiple therapeutic areas.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Author and lead development of scientific publications, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slide decks, and scientific communication materials.
    • Own content delivery from brief through review and final publication, ensuring quality and accuracy.
    • Develop materials for advisory boards, scientific meetings, and satellite symposia.
    • Translate complex scientific data into clear, concise, audience-appropriate messaging.
    • Conduct scientific reviews, quality checks, and proofreading to ensure compliance with quality and publication standards.
    • Support publication planning activities and contribute to scientific communication strategies.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and subject matter experts.
    • Mentor junior team members and support onboarding initiatives.
    • Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with SOPs, training, and audit requirements.


    Requirements

    • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related scientific discipline.
    • Experience in medical writing, scientific communications, publications, or medical affairs within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
    • Strong publication writing experience, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations.
    • Excellent scientific writing, critical appraisal, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Knowledge of publication best practices and Good Publication Practice (GPP) guidelines.
