How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

A globally recognised design studio is looking for an experienced GIS Automation Specialist to join its London Masterplanning team on an initial contract basis. Working across a major digital masterplanning programme, you will take ownership of designing, building and implementing the automation and integration model that underpins the production of a series of planning control sheets. Collaborating closely with architects, urban designers and masterplanners, you'll establish a robust, repeatable workflow that integrates data from multiple sources and becomes the foundation for project delivery moving forward. The role will be based in the studio initially while you embed yourself within the team and build the process, before offering significantly greater flexibility once the workflow is established.

    Job Description

    • You will be responsible for leading the entire GIS automation process, from developing the integration model through to producing the final outputs. Your responsibilities will include:
    • Designing and implementing the automation and integration model for the production of masterplanning control sheets.
    • Producing Plot Regulation Sheets, Asset Regulation Sheets and Precinct Control Plans.
    • Integrating and coordinating data across GIS, CAD and Excel platforms.
    • Establishing efficient, repeatable workflows that improve the speed, consistency and accuracy of document production.
    • Working closely with architects, urban designers and masterplanners to ensure information is coordinated and accurately represented.
    • Taking ownership of the end-to-end process, from workflow development through to production and delivery.

    Key Skills

    • Advanced GIS experience within a masterplanning, urban design or infrastructure environment.
    • Proven experience developing automation and integration workflows for complex project information.
    • Strong understanding of coordinating data across GIS, CAD and Excel.
    • Experience producing planning control documentation or comparable technical outputs.
    • Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary design teams.
    • Able to start immediately at short notice.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role within a globally respected design studio, taking ownership of a highly specialised piece of work that will have a lasting impact on the way a major masterplanning programme is delivered. It would suit someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building efficient digital workflows and working at the intersection of technology and design
