Estimator – Bolton

We're recruiting on behalf of Acoustic Solutions, a specialist contractor based in Bolton, for an organised and motivated Estimator to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with estimating experience, ideally within construction or a related industry, who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and delivering accurate quotations for a variety of projects.
The Role
As a Estimator, you will support the commercial team by preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations for acoustic solutions across a range of commercial and residential projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations
- Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain competitive pricing
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of tenders
- Updating estimates as project requirements change
- Maintaining accurate project records and documentation
- Working closely with the sales, design and project teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers and contractors
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented and eager to develop their career within a specialist construction business.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Previous experience in an Estimator or Junior Estimator role
- Experience within the construction industry (preferred)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Teams
- Experience using estimating software would be advantageous
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths
