How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The successful candidate will support pricing and promotional analysis, contribute to process improvements and the implementation of new tools, and deliver reporting and insights to support commercial decision-making.

    Job Summary

    The Fraud & Payments Security Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining fraud‑prevention measures across THE OUTNET’s payment ecosystem. You will manage fraud tooling, monitor suspicious activity, and ensure our systems are protected from fraudulent attacks, chargebacks, and unauthorised activity.

    You will act as the internal owner of Adyen Security, Shopify Fraud Plugin, and other fraud‑prevention tools, ensuring they are configured, tuned, and leveraged to their full potential.


    Principal Duties & Responsibilities

    • Fraud Strategy — Design and implement short‑ and long‑term plans to ensure fraud‑prevention capability meets existing and future business requirements.
    • Tool Ownership — Manage, configure, and optimise Adyen Security, Shopify Fraud Plugin, and other fraud‑prevention systems.
    • Monitoring & Threat Detection — Monitor fraud alerts, risk scores, and unusual activity across all payment channels.
    • Incident Investigation — Investigate fraud attempts, suspicious orders, account takeovers, and payment anomalies.
    • Chargeback Prevention — Maintain high chargeback‑prevention standards and support evidence submission for disputes.
    • Continuous Fraud Testing — Perform ongoing fraud rule testing, tuning, and validation to reduce false positives and maximise approval rates.
    • Operational Support — Assist Customer Care, Finance, and Operations teams with fraud‑related queries and escalations.
    • Policy & Governance — Define and maintain fraud‑prevention policies, SOPs, and documentation.
    • Data Integrity — Ensure fraud‑related data is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
    • Security Awareness — Stay up to date with fraud trends, emerging attack methods, and payment‑security developments.


    Essential Knowledge & Experience

    • Hands‑on experience with Adyen, Shopify Fraud Tools, or similar fraud‑prevention platforms.
    • Strong understanding of payment security, fraud scoring, and e‑commerce risk models.
    • Experience monitoring fraud logs, alerts, and suspicious activity.
    • Ability to react quickly to fraud incidents and apply mitigation strategies.
    • Knowledge of chargeback processes, evidence submission, and dispute management.
    • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting fraud‑related data.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.


    Desirable

    • Experience with SQL, Python, or scripting for fraud analysis.
    • Familiarity with Kount, Riskified, Forter, or similar fraud‑prevention tools.
    • Understanding of PSD2, SCA, and payment‑compliance frameworks.
    • Experience in luxury retail or high‑volume e‑commerce environments.
