How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Harris Hill are delighted to be partnering with a highly respected international charity to recruit a Head of Corporate Development.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a growing corporate fundraising programme within a values-led organisation making a real impact across the world. You'll combine strategic relationship management with new business development, working with corporate partners across the UK, Europe and internationally.

A real highlight of the role is the opportunity for international travel (approximately 6–7 weeks per year), with recent trips including Singapore, Japan, Dubai and across Europe.

    The Role

You'll lead corporate fundraising, delivering an annual income target of around £900,000 through a broad portfolio of corporate partnerships. Unlike many charities, income comes from a diverse range of supporters rather than a handful of large six-figure donors, making strong relationship management and business development equally important.

You'll also lead a small team, use CRM data to drive fundraising activity, and work closely with senior stakeholders to maximise opportunities.

    About You

    We're looking for someone who:

    • Has strong corporate fundraising experience.
    • Enjoys both account management and winning new business.
    • Is a confident relationship builder who isn't afraid to make the ask.
    • Is commercially minded and solutions-focused.
    • Is comfortable using fundraising data and CRM systems.
    • Has experience managing or developing people.
    • Is excited by working with both UK and international partners.

    Why Apply?

You'll be joining an organisation with an exceptional culture, a long-standing leadership team and an ambitious fundraising function that has grown from just 3 people in 2017 to 14 today. It's a collaborative, supportive environment where people genuinely enjoy working and where you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful global impact.

    How to Apply

Please submit your CV together with a supporting statement of no more than 500 words outlining your suitability for the role by 12:00pm on Tuesday 25 August 2026.

First-round interviews: Monday 7 or Tuesday 8 September 2026 (virtual)

Second-round interviews: Thursday 24 September 2026 (in person, London)
