How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

An elite US law firm is seeking a talented Junior to Mid-Level Associate to join its highly regarded Corporate Private Equity team in London.

This is an outstanding opportunity to work alongside market-leading partners advising a prestigious client base of financial sponsors, portfolio companies and management teams on complex, high-value domestic and cross-border private equity transactions.

    The Role

You will play a key role in supporting sponsor-led transactions from inception through to completion, working as part of lean, collaborative deal teams with significant client exposure. The practice advises on a broad range of private equity investments, acquisitions, disposals, buyouts and other corporate transactions.

    Candidate Profile

    The successful candidate will:

    • Be qualified in a common law jurisdiction (England & Wales, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa or a comparable common law jurisdiction).
    • Have between 1–5 years' post-qualification experience (or equivalent) gained at a leading international or top-tier law firm.
    • Have financial sponsor or broader corporate transactional experience, ideally with exposure to private equity transactions.
    • Be able to support sponsor-led matters across due diligence, drafting, signing, closing and wider corporate workstreams.
    • Have experience assisting with the drafting and negotiation of Share Purchase Agreements (SPAs), including both locked box and completion accounts mechanisms.
    • Be familiar with management incentive arrangements, including leaver provisions and shareholders' agreements.
    • Have experience preparing and reviewing NDAs, engagement letters, disclosure letters, legal due diligence reports and ancillary transaction documentation.
    • Demonstrate excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills, together with strong commercial judgement and meticulous attention to detail.
    • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and be motivated by working on sophisticated, high-profile transactions.

    The Opportunity

This role offers the opportunity to join one of the world's premier corporate practices, working on some of the most significant private equity deals in the market. You will benefit from exceptional mentoring, early responsibility, direct client contact and a genuinely international platform, while working with an outstanding team known for delivering market-leading advice to sophisticated financial sponsor clients.
