How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Professional Support Lawyer – Intellectual Property (EU)

London | Hybrid (4 days in the office)

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) to join the Intellectual Property team of a leading international law firm.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an IP lawyer looking to move into a strategic knowledge role, where you'll help shape the firm's knowledge, innovation and AI strategy while supporting one of the market's leading Intellectual Property practices across Europe.

Working closely with partners and lawyers across the business, you'll play a key role in driving knowledge sharing, legal innovation, training and thought leadership, ensuring the team remains at the forefront of developments in IP law.

As the dedicated Professional Support Lawyer for the EU Intellectual Property team, you will:

    • Act as the go-to technical expert on contentious and non-contentious Intellectual Property matters across Europe.
    • Develop and maintain precedents, practice notes, templates and know-how resources.
    • Monitor legal and market developments, producing updates, client briefings and thought leadership content.
    • Design and deliver technical training programmes for trainees, associates and partners.
    • Mentor junior lawyers and provide guidance on complex legal issues.
    • Support business development initiatives through articles, client training and legal insight.
    • Work closely with Innovation and AI teams to integrate knowledge resources into emerging legal technology platforms.
    • Champion the adoption of new knowledge management and AI tools across the practice.
    • Collaborate with Research, Innovation and Business Services teams on strategic knowledge projects.

    About You

You'll be a qualified lawyer with:

    • At least 6 years' PQE gained within a leading law firm.
    • Strong Intellectual Property experience across contentious, non-contentious, or ideally both.
    • Excellent drafting, research and technical legal skills.
    • A genuine interest in knowledge management, legal technology and AI.
    • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of clients' needs.
    • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to deliver engaging training.
    • A collaborative approach and the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels.

    Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to join one of the world's leading international law firms in a highly visible role that sits at the intersection of law, knowledge and innovation.

You'll work alongside recognised experts in Intellectual Property while helping shape the future of legal service delivery through AI, knowledge management and technology.

The firm offers genuine career development, exposure to global projects and the opportunity to make a significant impact across an international practice.
