Salary will be based on experience and the appropriate point on the Outer London Main Pay Range.
Take the Lead in a Key Stage 2 Classroom
Teach Now is supporting a forward-thinking primary school in Barking and Dagenham with the appointment of a committed Key Stage 2 Teacher.
The school wants a teacher who can combine clear explanations, strong subject knowledge and high expectations with a supportive approach. You will teach a Key Stage 2 class, plan with year-group colleagues and use assessment carefully to help every pupil make progress.
This is a full-time position beginning in September and would suit either an experienced teacher or a confident ECT with strong upper- or lower-KS2 experience.
Core Responsibilities
Planning and teaching the full KS2 curriculum
Setting ambitious and achievable learning goals
Monitoring progress and addressing gaps in understanding
Preparing pupils for the next stage of their education
Creating a calm and purposeful classroom
Adapting teaching for pupils with SEN and EAL
Working effectively with teaching assistants
Building constructive relationships with families
Required Experience and Skills
Qualified Teacher Status
Recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2
Secure knowledge of the primary curriculum
Strong literacy and mathematics teaching
Effective assessment and behaviour-management practice
Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines
Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
