The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs through targeted interventions and pastoral support across the primary phase.

The successful SEND HLTA will lead SEMH interventions and provide targeted support for pupils who require additional emotional, behavioural and social support within the classroom and intervention settings.
Responsibilities will include:
Delivering targeted SEMH interventions across the primary phase
Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Working closely with the SENDCo, class teachers and pastoral staff
Supporting children both in and outside of the classroom
Building strong and trusting relationships with pupils
Monitoring and recording pupil progress and intervention outcomes
Supporting the implementation of EHCP targets where appropriate
Promoting a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environmentThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience working within a primary school setting
Strong understanding of SEMH needs and behaviour support strategies
Experience supporting pupils with SEND
HLTA qualification or significant relevant experience
Calm, resilient and nurturing approach
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider support team
