How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Production Operative - Rotating Shifts - Ongoing Work

    We are recruiting for Production Operative roles in Redditch. You will be working for a well-established automotive manufacturer operating assembly machinery and supporting the production of high-quality glass and glazing products.

    Details of a Production Operative:

    Rate of Pay: £14.35 per hour
    Hours of Work: Rotating Monday to Friday shifts

    Week 1: Monday to Thursday, 6am-2pm and Friday, 6am-12pm
    Week 2: Monday to Thursday, 2pm-10pm and Friday, 12pm-6pm

    Location: Redditch
    Duration: Ongoing

    Role of a Production Operative:

    Operating assembly and production machinery safely and efficiently

    Preparing, measuring and supplying raw materials to machinery

    Monitoring production processes to ensure operational targets are achieved

    Carrying out quality checks and basic testing on finished products

    Identifying and resolving minor production or machinery issues

    Recording production data and completing relevant paperwork accurately

    Reporting machinery faults and maintenance concerns promptly

    Maintaining a clean and organised working area

    Following all health and safety procedures

    Working closely with colleagues to achieve production targets

    Requirements of a Production Operative:

    Previous production, manufacturing or machinery operating experience is preferred but not essential

    Good attention to detail and commitment to quality standards

    Able to carry out manual handling and physically demanding duties

    Good communication and problem-solving skills

    Flexible and able to work the rotating shift pattern
